I was reading a book (I still have lots of them) by Tom Ang, and he said that one way to get better with photography was to enter into a photography blog. So here is mine, and it is an eclectic mixture of the picture I like that hopefully show an improving portfolio.

Somerset House
Over the weekend, I went to a couple of exhibitions at Somerset House. One was about Cartier Bresson and colour, and what caught my eye was the phrase that black and white pictures have more emotive content than colour. So here are a couple from the skating that was taking place in the forecourt. I deliberately used a slow shutter speed to capture the blur of movement, and had the idea of converting to B+W. I think they look very wintery. I deliberately over-exposed to emphasise the white of the ice. Apart from the clothing, they have a slightly old fashioned look.
